VerseFeed Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Little Crab App handles information when you use VerseFeed on iOS or Android. VerseFeed is designed to work without an account. Signing in is optional and is used only when you choose services such as cross-device sync.

2. Information We Process

Content you choose to provide

Depending on the features you use, VerseFeed may process:

• Scripture reading state, bookmarks, notes, preferences, and conversation history;
• Questions or other messages you send to AI-assisted discussion features; and
• Voice audio you deliberately record for transcription in Chat with the Bible; and
• Content you deliberately choose to share or sync.

Core app use does not require an account. Content remains on your device unless you deliberately use an online feature, such as AI discussion or cross-device sync. Voice audio is sent only while you hold the voice-input control, is used only to produce a transcript, and is not stored in your conversation history.

Optional account information

If you choose to sign in, we process your email address, account identifier, one-time-passcode authentication events, and account creation time. We do not store one-time passcodes in plaintext.

Subscription information

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive your payment-card details. We receive transaction and subscription metadata needed to verify and maintain access, such as product, transaction identifier, status, country, currency, amount, and event time. A purchase may be associated with an anonymous app identifier when you are not signed in.

Technical information

We may process app version, operating system, device category, language, region, time zone, approximate country derived from an IP address, feature events, diagnostics, and crash reports. We do not use advertising identifiers, sell personal information, or build cross-app advertising profiles.

3. How We Use Information

We process information only as needed to:

• Provide reading, discussion, sync, subscription, and support features;
• Generate a response when you choose to use an AI-assisted feature;
• Restore purchases and prevent subscription fraud;
• Diagnose crashes, protect the service, and improve reliability; and
• Comply with accounting, tax, legal, and store-platform obligations.

We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we do not permit AI inference providers to use your prompts or responses for model training.

4. Service Providers

We use service providers only to operate VerseFeed:

• Apple and Google for distribution, purchases, and subscription events;
• Cloudflare for authentication, sync, storage, security, routing AI requests, and server-side subscription verification;
• Firebase for aggregated app analytics and crash diagnostics; and
• Fireworks AI for generating an AI-assisted response when you request one; and
• Deepgram for transcribing voice audio when you use voice input.

Information sent to a provider is limited to what is needed for that service. Providers process it under their own contractual and legal obligations. We do not share personal information for targeted advertising.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Optional synced data is retained while the related account is active. When you request account deletion, account-linked content is deleted or de-identified within 30 days, except records we must keep for security, accounting, dispute, or legal purposes. Subscription records may be retained for those required periods.

You can stop using VerseFeed and remove local data without signing in. If you created an optional account, you can request access, correction, export, or deletion in the app or by contacting us.

6. Security and International Processing

We use TLS for data in transit, access controls, and appropriate safeguards for stored data. No system is completely secure. Because VerseFeed is available globally, providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. California residents may also request disclosure or deletion and opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

8. Children

VerseFeed is not directed to children under 13. Where local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must authorize use. If you believe a child provided personal information without valid consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the app or law changes. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method before they take effect.
